A visiting scientist at Argonne in 2010 and a postdoctoral research fellow in 2012 and a staff scientist since 2015, Ozgenur “Ozge” Kahvecioglu is a Principal Materials Scientist with the Process R&D and Scale-up group in the Applied Materials Division at US DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory. Dr. Kahvecioglu holds a B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, a M.Sc. in Extractive Metallurgy and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, all from the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in Turkey. She served as a research assistant and mentored several undergraduate as well as graduate students more than 9 years at ITU. Ozge has several publications along with 2 patents, 4 patent applications and had been recognized with a prestigious R&D 100 Award in 2012. She, now, is the Principal Investigator of a DOE funded project where she leads a team of scientists, engineers, technicians and assistants. Her focus is the next generation advanced energy materials for electric vehicles.
